If you’re ever unsure just reach out and ask the questions or get clarification. There are no silly questions, only the ones you don’t ask! I have had many clients over the years say “I have a silly question” and 9 times out of 10 it’s a very good question and the client is very thankful they just asked. Even that 1 in 10 that would be classed as “silly” it is still not, I’d rather our clients be 100% sure of things, rather have it not weigh on their minds and lose sleep over it!
I realised I wanted to pursue accounting in my late teens. I enjoy helping people just never knew how I could find a career where I would enjoy the work and be able to help people. I was lucky enough to get an opportunity when I was 20 and haven’t looked back. Having the ability to help clients through the most stressful of times whether it be with their business or an individual doing a tax return for the 1st or 50th time always makes it worthwhile. On a personal note, being across the tax code for my own personal return is not a bad plus!
If you handed me a box of chalk I’d draw “93:20” in reference to the exact time on the clock with Sergio Aguero scored the winning goal for City vs QPR to win the title!
